Pet of the Month

Cinammonface is the pet of the month. He is a 5 year old pitbull dog that has been a resident of laurel pet hospital for the past 18 months. He was found in the area malnourished and hungry. He also had multiple bumps and bruises over his body. We have given him a place to live and eat since that time. Pitbulls are very difficult to place into a good home.

He is a wonderful dog that is calm and sweet even with kids. He is not very fond of cats and some dogs but otherwise is a gentle giant. He has just graciously been taken by a rescue group (Molly's Mutts and Meows) but first will go to through a socialization program (Cage Free K9's) so he can become more tolerant of other dogs. It is great to have a good relationship with these resuce groups to occasionally allow us to help animals in need.

We are very sad to see him go but very excited to see him move on to the next chapter in his life. He will be missed. We also appreciate the support from all of those associated with him that helped to care and walk him and keep his spirits up. We wish him the best of luck.

Dr Lee Calsyn has been my vet for just over 20 years.  He has seen me mostly through the joys and sometimes the heartbreak of being a pet parent to the wonderful cats who shared my life through these years and now is vet to my cat Barnaby.

Beside being a magnificent, brilliant vet this man is one of the most beautiful human beings I have known.
